Hi, I'm Lucky Corby — award winning Australian filmmaker
My fondness for storytelling begun at a young age sitting around a campfire, listening to my Pop's stories. As he recalled his life, the made up jokes and the stories from the place we were raised on. I remember listening all night.
A young kid completely immersed by his stories, with the warm fire heating my face. Just visualising, seeing his words run through my head as images.
Now, as a filmmaker, I crave to share that same feeling to my audience through my own stories and share a unique Australian voice.

Starting a project with us is easy and hassle free. Whether you've got a tonne of ideas and are ready to go, or you're unsure what way to take your vision. We can jump onboard at any stage and bring our expertise to your project. We work on all projects from; commercials, social media content, narrative, documentary, awareness campaigns, etc.

Pre-Production
We'll then take your concept and begin to pull everything together to start bringing it to life - we can handle everything from script writing, shot listing, storyboarding, location scouting, casting and more. Whilst keeping to your timeframes, deliverable deadlines and budget.

Production
After all our work during pre-production, our shoot days are prepared well and organised to get the best results. Story Place Pictures has a dedicated crew equipped to handle everything from one-man videographer shoots to full crew productions who will deliver on our promise to get you professional quality content for your project.

Post-Production
During Post-Production we'll dive in with you to put your project together whilst keeping on track of our deadlines. To ensure that your video is parallel with its intended vision, we keep you close and up to date with the progress and offer rounds of revisions for feedback so we can really nail it. We also offer finishing services such as colour grading, sound mixing, music composition, and motion graphics to further enhance the professional quality of your video.

Our take on an ad for Akubra. Hand Over the Rein is a three-part series of social media videos that showcase Akubra hats across generations of Australian farming.
Shot in June 2025, Hand Over The Rein is a spec commercial we made for Akubra Australia.
Currently in post production, we're looking to release on social media within the next few months. But this is a great example of the quality we can bring to a project.

Sindell's War
Based on true events from the Kenmore Hospital in Goulburn that had been hidden in the past.
Soldier submitted for PTSD. Thought the Doctor & Nurses were out to get him. Grabbed a gun from home and shot at Dr. Moffitt. Doctor fled through the grounds with Sindell in hot pursuit. Shot Naughton twice in the chest, shot the bonnet off ones 'noggin. The hospital manager leapt into action, took the gun from the hospital safe and shot.
Gave Sindell bit more war and put him in the grave.
