Hi, my name is Lucky Corby and I am an award winning Australian Film Director/Producer based in Sydney (Gadigal) and founder of Story Place Pictures.
My fondness for storytelling begun at a young age sitting around a campfire, listening to my Pop's stories. As he recalled his life, the made up jokes and the stories from the place we were raised on. I remember listening all night. A young kid completely immersed by his stories, with the warm fire heating my face. Just visualising, seeing his words run through my head as images.
Now, as a filmmaker, I crave to share that same feeling to my audience through my own stories and those of other unique Australian voices.
Story Place Pictures is the campfire for Australian voices to come together and ignite stories to life.

Story Place Pictures is an independent Australian owned and operated production company. We want to harness Australian stories and showcase the work of Australian filmmakers and creatives.

Our work prioritises independent visions. Our mission is to pedestal unique stories that are . To share the stories that arent as widespread but equally as important resonating voices that give many people a sense of place and connection.
Stories my Grandfather told, when I was younger, connected me to the small world I was apart of as a kid. As you get older and your world expands, its important to still get these reminders of where you've come from.

Whether you've already developed a concept and are just after a a production team, or, you're about to kick start an idea and need support during the whole process. We can jump onboard at any stage and bring our expertise to your project. Our team will take your concept and begin to tailor the pieces together - we can handle everything from script writing, storyboarding, location scouting, casting and more. Whilst keeping to your timeframes, deliverable deadlines and budgets.03.

After all our work during pre-production, our shoot days are well organised and optimised to get the best results. Story Place Pictures has a dedicated crew equipped to handle everything and will deliver on our promise to get you professional quality content for your project.

During Post-Production our post team dives in to put your project together whilst keeping on track of our deadlines. We ensure that your video production is parallel with its intended vision. We also offer finishing services such as colour grading, sound mixing, music composition, and motion graphics to further enhance the professional quality of your video.
